NEWS: Ed Sheeran Announces 2017 North American Tour Dates

After hinting at a new collaboration with Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran announced a huge new North American tour this morning. Sheeran will be touring to support his new album, Divide, which is on track to debut at the top of the charts.

Sheeran will begin his 2017 tour on June 29 at the Sprint Center in Kansas City. From there’ he’ll be hitting arenas across the country, including two nights at Mohegan Sun Arena in Connecticut. Other stops include the Staples Center in Los Angeles, Toyota Center in Houston and the tour’s final show October 6 at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville.

The 26-year-old Sheeran emerged onto the music scene with his debut album, Plus, in 2011 before opening for Taylor Swift on a series of concerts in 2013. Earlier in 2017, Sheeran set a new record for most Spotify streams in a single day when he released the singles “Castle on the Hill” and “Shape of You.” He won Grammy Awards for Song of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance for 2015’s “Thinking Out Loud.”
