Singer-songwriter and actress Jordin Sparks first stepped into the spotlight in 2006 as the season six winner of American Idol. Her self-titled debut album arrived later that year, earning a platinum certification from the RIAA and selling over two million copies worldwide. The album housed two Billboard Hot 100 top ten singles with "Tattoo" and the Chris Brown collaboration "No Air," which earned Sparks her first Grammy nomination for Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals. Her second album, Battlefield, arrived in 2007, debuting at number seven on the Billboard 200 and sparking two chart-topping singles. Following the album's release, Sparks ventured into the world of acting, appearing in films, on television, and on Broadway.
