Meet Imogen Heap

Grammy-winning English musician Imogen Heap rose to fame with her unique blend of intimate songwriting combined with off-balance pop and electronica. She is known both as a solo artist and as one half of the short-live electronic duo Frou Frou. Heap released her debut album iMegaphone in 1998 before forming Frou Frou in early 2002. The duo’s first and only album to date, Details, was released later that same year to critical acclaim. In 2005, Heap released her second solo album Speak For Yourself. The record housed her most commercially successful single to date, “Hide and Seek.” The track was certified gold and made several appearances in film and television and was also heavily sampled in Jason Derulo’s 2009 debut single, “Whatcha Say.” Heap has since released two additional albums, Ellipse (2009) and Sparks (2014). She has received two Grammy Awards and one Ivor Novello Award over the course of her career, with various artists including Ariana Grande, Taylor Swift, and Katy Perry citing her as an influence on their music.
