Blues and country rock singer-songwriter Delbert McClinton has been a sideman in musical projects since 1962 and a band leader since 1972, recording albums for major record labels and producing hit singles. His second-biggest hit is the pop song “Giving It Up for Your Love,” released in the 1980s and topping at number eight on the Hot 100.
