From New Orleans, LA comes hip-hop and rap artist Currensy (stylized as Curren$y). Currensy initially landed a record deal in 2002. He is known as one of the original members of Young Money Entertainment, a record label that was founded by fellow rap artist Lil Wayne in 2005. Currensy has released a total of eight studio albums, the latest being Canal Street Confidential which dropped in 2015 and spawned the hit single “Bottom of the Bottle” featuring August Alsina and Lil Wayne. He has also worked extensively with other artists, releasing five collaboration albums with artist like Wiz Khalifal, Jet Life and The Alchemist. Currensy founded his own label, Jet Life Recordings, in 2011.
