Corson Auditorium is an event venue located at the Interlochen Center for Arts in Michigan. Built in 1929, it was named after Francis Bruce Fitzpatrick Corson, a board director of the Center for Arts. It features modern multimedia technology that can accommodate up to 1200 people comfortably. An additional 1939 addition brought more space to the original structure, including new seating options and a high definition stage lighting system. Over the years, this performing arts space has hosted various famous artists such as Billy Joel, Kid Rock, Yo-Yo Ma and even President Dwight D. Eisenhower. From dance recitals to music concerts, Corson Auditorium always has something exciting going on that you won't want to miss. Located in Interlochen, Michigan, this quaint, small village is located in northwest Michigan on the southern end of Green Lake. The center of town is home to the Mendel Center for Arts and Technology, which dates back to 1920 and offers art classes, musical theater productions and a variety of other arts programming year-round. From May through August, the Interlochen Music Festivals fill parks and clubs in town with performances by classical musicians and entertainers from around the world. Every June over 500 artists descend upon Interlochen for three weeks during its Arts Camps program offering individual instruction in visual arts, music camps, theater programs, voice lessons, digital media courses, writing courses, and dance classes.
