Chart-topping singer, songwriter, director, and record executive Charli XCX was discovered in 2008, first posting her songs to Myspace and eventually being recruited to perform at warehouse raves and parties. Her mainstream breakthrough would arrive a few years later in 2013 on the strength of the Icona Pop collaboration "I Love It," becoming an international hit. Charli's debut album arrived later that same year, receiving widespread critical praise. In 2014, she received her first solo hit with the release of "Boom Clap," as well as contributing the hook to Iggy Azalea's "Fancy," which finished the year as one of the best-selling singles in the world.
