Meet BTS
The septet first came together in 2013 with their debut song “No More Dream,” which won them several New Artist of the Year awards. The group, which has roots in hip hop, consists of rappers Rap Monster, Suga and J-Hope; and vocalists Jin, Jimin, V and Jungkook. The band continued their rise to prominence with the release of The Most Beautiful Moment in Life, Part 2 (2015) and The Most Beautiful Moment in Life: Young Forever (2016), which won Album of the Year at the 2016 Melon Music Awards. Their 2016 album, Wings, peaked at No. 26 on the Billboard 200, the highest chart ranking ever for a K-pop album. It also made them the first to sell over a million copies. BTS’s biggest accomplishment so far was the release of Love Yourself: Her in 2017, which debuted at No. 7 on the Billboard 200, the highest rank for an Asian artist in history.
