Baseball Season Dominates
The Toronto Blue Jays, New York Yankees and Los Angeles Dodgers hold down the top three spots in the Hot 20. Each are propelled by a mix of large markets, hot starts and passionate fan bases – the later of which is most apparent in Toronto where the Jays are off to a division-worst 11-20 start. Following them are the Kansas City Royals, the red-hot Colorado Rockies and the Boston Red Sox.
Farther down the list, the Atlanta Braves continue to see strong sales on the secondary market as fans flock to SunTrust Park in its opening season.
But what could be pushing so many fans to Rogers Centre to see the Blue Jays? It’s possible that with the Maple Leafs out of the Stanley Cup, Toronto sports fans are gravitating toward baseball. Look for the Blue Jays to stay high on the list now that the Raptors have been swept out of the NBA playoffs if this theory is correct.
The first non-baseball events appear at number 18. The International Friendly with Mexico remains the most popular soccer event, and who else but the Dallas Cowboys appear at 19 as the most in-demand pro football ticket. With all the excitement for Dak Prescott’s sophomore season, it’s easy to see why fans are eager to get back to AT&T Stadium.

NBA Playoffs: Boston, San Antonio Stay Hot
As the NBA playoffs roll on, tickets for the Boston Celtics and San Antonio Spurs remain hot items. The Utah Jazz also showed a lot of action. The Jazz made their deepest playoff run since 2010 before getting swept by Golden State.
Stanley Cup Playoffs Update
It’s been a tumultuous Stanley Cup Playoffs after the Blackhawks suffered a shocking upset in round one. With the Chicago market out of the picture, Pittsburgh and New York show the most demand as we head toward the conference finals. The Capitals stole Game 6 from the defending champion Penguins to force a game seven, so look for strong demand back in DC for Game 7. But look for New York to vanish from the rankings after Ottawa vanquished them from the playoffs last night.
Look for Predators fans to push their team higher in the rankings next week after their 4-2 series victory over the St. Louis Blues. The Predators will make their first conference finals appearance in franchise history against the winner of the Anaheim-Edmonton series, which will end with Wednesday’s Game 7 in Anaheim.
International Friendly Boosts Soccer
Soccer’s best sellers are dominated by International Friendly matchups. Friendlies involving Mexico, FC Barcelona and Manchester City top the list, followed by the MLS All Star Game at Solider Field. Isolating Major League Soccer, Toronto FC is the most popular team right now for secondary sales, followed by Montreal, Dallas, New York Red Bulls and New York City FC.
