Who are Slipknot?

Heavy metal rockers Slipknot formed in 1995, making a name for themselves with their blend of alt/rap-metal and neo-shock rock. The band rapidly rose to fame following the release of their self-titled debut album in 1999, going on to become one of the most prominent acts in the nu-metal explosion of the late 1990s and early 2000s. Slipknot are known for their aggressive style and chaotic live shows. Over the course of their 25-year career, they have undergone several lineup changes and endured a handful of hiatuses, maintaining their loyal fanbase throughout it all. They have released a total of six studio albums and have sold over 30 million records worldwide.
