Adam Young | June 30, 2017
Top 4th of July concerts.
The Fourth of July falls on a Tuesday this year, which for many people means just one thing: Four-day weekend! If you’re lucky enough to get some extra time off for the holiday, it’s the perfect opportunity to hit the road and take in a concert by your favorite band or artist. Take a look at some highlights you can catch over the holiday break.

 1. U2 and OneRepublic, the Joshua Tree Tour: Cleveland, OH

Hello, Cleveland—here come those Irish rock legends, U2, with their Joshua Tree Tour coming to FirstEnergy Stadium on Saturday, July 1 at 7 pm. This stop in the Rock and Roll capital of the world is part of the North American leg of a worldwide concert run that is being called the tour of the year. U2 proves they haven’t slowed down a step after more than 30 years of recording and live performances. Opening this show is Colorado rockers OneRepublic, who will play hits from their smash debut album Dreaming Out Loud, and the follow-up record, Waking Up.

2. Enrique Iglesias with Pitbull and CNCO: New York, NY
New York’s Madison Square Garden is the place to be for a two-night stop, Friday, June 30 and Saturday, July 1, for the King of Latin Pop, Enrique Iglesias. Iglesias hit the scene in 1995 and has sold nearly 160 million albums since then. He pulls out all the stops for his live shows, which are second to none. Opening is Miami hip-hop rapper Pitbull and Latin pop band CNCO.

3. Roger Waters: San Antonio and Dallas, TX

Look out, Texas: Classic rock legend Roger Waters is bringing his Us + Them Tour to San Antonio’s AT&T Center on Saturday, July 1, then up the road to the American Airlines Center in Dallas on Monday, July 3. Both shows start at 8 pm. Waters, a founding member of legendary acid rock act Pink Floyd, will be playing songs from four of their essential albums, Dark Side of the Moon, The Wall, Animals and Wish You Were Here, plus some songs from his new album, Is This the Life We Really Want? Get your tickets now and prepare to get Comfortably Numb.

4. Red Hot Chili Peppers: Chicago, IL
Get your spicy, funky, rap-rock mix from the band that basically invented their own genre in the ‘80s, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, who will be spicing up the United Center in Chicago June 30 and July 1 at 8 pm. Despite going at it for more than 30 years, these guys still know how to let loose with a live show that would wear down some acts half their age.
