Theater fans around the country are about to have their best Friday ever. Plus: Guns N’ Roses fans have more chances to see the band in this lifetime. Let’s take a look at what tickets are new and hot for Friday, May 26, 2017.

Musical Bonanza

Tickets go on sale today for new tour dates for The Little Mermaid and The Wizard of Oz. This kicks off a string of new on sales for can't miss shows like The Phantom of the Opera, Aladdin and The Lion King.

Disney’s The Little Mermaid is playing to crowds around the country from Starlight Theatre in Kansas City to the Orpheum Theatre in Memphis and beyond. Its tour runs through early November when it will finish up in Omaha.

The Wizard of Oz remains popular with young and old, thanks no doubt to the runaway success of Wicked on Broadway and on tour. Oz will be playing several theatres across the country this summer, delighting fans in North Carolina, Iowa, Pennsylvania, California, Michigan, Missouri and Florida. The Wicked Tour is primarily playing along the east coast until late summer when it begins in Wisconsin and Cincinnati.

As the calendar turns to June, the touring productions for Aladdin and The Lion King will both see new tickets coming on sale. The two Disney hits typically battle it out with Wicked for Broadway supremacy, so fans around the country will get to see them in the local venues they enjoy.

Billboard Hot 100 Festival

The Billboard Hot 100 Music Festival takes place Aug. 19-20 at the Northwell Health at Jones Beach Theater on Long Island. Major Lazer, Big Sean, Zedd and DJ Khaled are among the headliners. If you’ve never been to the Jones Beach Theater, it needs to be on the to-do list of every music fans. It’s beloved by acts like Jimmy Buffet and Aerosmith for its gorgeous setting on Zachs Bay – the stage is actually built in the bay.

Guns N’ Roses Announces Opening Acts

Guns just extended their “Not In This Lifetime” tour to include arena shows into November. They’ve added shows in Philadelphia, Los Angeles, Las Vegas and more. Several of these cities have seen multiple stops on the tour, proving that Axl, Slash and the gang are hotter now than maybe they’ve ever been. You can see the full tour listings on our GNR page.

What’s more, they revealed who’s going to play with them on their existing stadium and amphitheatre dates. Sturgill Simpson will play in Denver, Little Rock and Miami; Live will open in Winston-Salem, NC, and Hershey, PA. Meanwhile, Deftones will play to the Midwest crowds in St. Louis and Minneapolis.
