Meet Danzig

Danzig was formed in 1987 as a musical outlet for lead singer and songwriter, Glenn Danzig. Following his time with horror-punk bands The Misfits and Samhain, Glenn Danzig gathered fellow musicians and former bandmates to create Danzig. The newly formed group provided him with the opportunity to explore the darker side of music more deeply, something he was unable to do in his previous projects. The group has released numerous albums, including Danzig (1988), Danzig II: Lucifuge (1990), and Danzig III: How the Gods Kill (1992). The band’s mainstream breakthrough came in 1993 when a live video for “Mother,” a track originally released on their debut album, became a smash hit on MTV, causing the song to chart as a single on the Billboard Top 40. In the years since, Danzig has undergone several line-up changes and released multiple studio albums. Their most recent album, Black Laden Crown, dropped in 2017 and they are set to release Hidden Lyrics Of The Left Hand Volume II, a follow-up to the 2010 album of the same name, in 2018.
