It's Cyber Monday!

Adam Young | November 27, 2017
Cyber Monday.

Give the gift of a memorable experience.

Cyber Monday was created by Ellen Davis and Scott Silverman on Nov. 28th, 2005. According to research at the time, nearly 80% of online retailers reported dramatically increased sales on the Monday after Thanksgiving. Combined with the chaos and uncertainty of shopping at malls and retail outlets on Black Friday, Cyber Monday was a natural development.

With Christmas just around the corner, the ideal gift is just a few clicks away - a memorable event experience. Whether your friends or loved ones are concert lovers, sports fans, theatre buffs, Christmas junkies, or just want to be surprised with something different this year, there are plenty of tickets available for gifting.

If you’re not sure what to buy, below is a summary of what event tickets were popular on Cyber Monday last year:

     1. Concerts – 49%

     2. Sports – 25%

     3. Theatre – 23%

     4. Other – 3%

Concerts

The champion of 2016 Cyber Monday concert tickets sales goes to Trans-Siberian Orchestra followed by Jeff Dunham, Bruno Mars and the Red Hot Chilli Peppers.

For those who are unfamiliar with Trans-Siberian Orchestra, they’re a progressive rock band founded in 1993 by Paul O’Niell.  TSO gained popularity by touring after their 1995 album The Christmas Attic and has sold over 10 Million concert tickets. Billboard and Pollstar have both ranked TSO as one of the top ten ticket-selling bands in the first decade of the new millennium.

The tour this season is “The Ghosts of Christmas Eve – The Best of TSO and More.” It began in Erie, PA on Nov. 16th and concludes Dec. 30th in St. Paul Minnesota, with over 100 shows on the schedule.
