The Peake Experience
Feel the Thunder
OKC Thunder home games at the Peake are known to get pretty loud. The inevitable thunderous roar of the crowd is part of the “Peake” experience, with a section of nosebleed seats even dubbed “loud city.” Finding your seats – whether they are “loud city” nose-bleeds or courtside – is a breeze, with fans raving about phenomenal security personnel and arena ushers that make navigating the stands worry-free.
OKC Thunder is also known for their pre-game time family friendly activities. Keep the kiddos smiling with face painting, shooting some hoops in the practice courts, free photo booths and drawing boards! Although the arena provides family friendly services, some fans have shared that the noise inside may get to be a bit too much for the little ones, so be prepared with some protection for their ears ahead of time.
It’s Showtime
One of the greatest aspects of this venue is its versatility which makes it a must-stop destination for big-name touring artists. An added level of seating on the fourth tier provides ample room for fans in the stands, allowing for great viewpoints from anywhere in the arena.
The Heart of Downtown
With its unbeatable location, the Peake is a stone’s throw away from all the best that downtown OKC has to offer including countless hotels, shops, and dining options. A quick walk across S E.K. Gaylord Boulevard will land you in the historic neighborhood of Bricktown, a thriving district that is home to over 45 restaurants, bars, shops and more. With so many options close by, you won’t have to feel confined to grabbing a bite in the arena.
Overall
Overall, visitors found arena staff very helpful and pleasant to deal with. The electrifying atmosphere makes it an ideal space for NBA game day excitement, with plenty of activities to keep the whole family having fun. Visitors have also shared that the arena is very well organized making it easily navigable with comfortable seating options for games and concerts.
