Meet As It Is
Pop-punk outfit As It Is formed in 2012 in Brighton, England. Fronted by American-born frontman Patty Walters, the group’s music is characterized by their melodic, earnest, emo-inspired sound that echoes that early 2000s bands like Taking Back Sunday and The Starting Line. As It Is has released four EPs and three albums including Never Happy, Ever After (2015), okay., (2017), and The Great Depression (2018). Their latest release (The Great Depression) centers around themes of mental health awareness and is divided into four parts, featuring a collaboration with Aaron Gillespie of hard rock/metalcore group Underoath.
