Meet Bad Religion

Punk rockers Bad Religion emerged from Los Angeles, CA in the early 1980s. Known for their melodic sensibility and three-part vocal harmonies, the group had already established a loyal underground following by the time they were signed to a major label, achieving commercial success with the release of their seventh full-length album Recipe for Hate in 1993. The album peaked at the number 14 spot on the Billboard Heatseekers chart, producing one of their most popular songs, “American Jesus.” Stranger than Fiction followed one year later, spawning massive hit singles “Infected” and “21st Century (Digital Boy),” achieving a gold certification from the RIAA. Bad Religion has since released nine additional studio albums, remaining one of the most prominent acts in underground punk rock. With a career spanning nearly four decades, the band has undergone several changes in personnel, with frontman Greg Gaffin remaining as the group’s sole constant member.
