The Overture Center opened in 2004, and is located in the growing city of Madison, Wisconsin. This venue is often times referred to as its more formal name, the Overture Center for the Arts. No matter what you call this modern venue, it is safe to say that its benefits will never change.
The Overture Center consists of seven individual venues. They include Overture Hall, Capitol Theater, Playhouse, Promenade Hall, Rotunda Stage, Wisconsin Studio, and Rotunda Studio. As you can imagine, each venue is used for different events.
Overture Hall is the most popular venue in the center. With a seating capacity of 2,251, it is also the largest. Several organizations call this hall home including the Madison Ballet, Madison Opera, and the Madison Symphony Orchestra. These three organizations help to keep the Overture Center busy year round.
