Orquesta Buena Vista Social Club is a Latin music group formed in 1996, which honors the exclusive club of the same name in Havana, Cuba. The club was a space for musicians to network and gain recognition, and the club’s legacy continued to inspire Cuban musicians for years after the club closed down in the 1940’s. The Buena Vista Social Club was integral to the rise of Latin music for years to come.
