Comcast Center MA Information:
The Comcast Center (formerly the Tweeter Center) is owned and operated by Live Nation, and is located in Mansfield, Massachusetts. This venue is also known as the Comcast Center for the Performing Arts. You can call this venue whatever you please, but when it comes down to it this is one of the nicest amphitheatres in the area. Located only 30 miles south of Boston, the Comcast Center draws a lot of people who live in the city. Additionally, there are many out of town tourists who also visit the area to take in a show or two at the Comcast Center.
The seating capacity at the Comcast Center is approximately 20,000. This includes 7,000 seats located underneath the pavilion, 7,000 open air seats, and the rest general admission for the lawn. This three tiered seating set up goes a long way in helping every fan to find something that is perfect for their situation.
Up until 1999, this venue was known as the Great Woods Performing Arts Center. Although the name changed when Tweeter took over naming rights,and again in 2008 by Comcast the good times never stopped for even a day.
Since the Comcast Center is an outdoor venue, the concert season usually starts in May and ends sometime in September. This way harsh weather can be avoided for the most part.
Anybody who live in the Boston area or will be visiting should consider taking in a show at the Comcast Center. There are plenty of seating options to choose from. But remember, they sell out fast!
