They include the San Jose Sharks of the NHL, the San Jose Sabercats of the AFL, and the San Jose Stealth of the NLL. It was given the nicknames listed above due to the fact that the San Jose Sharks play all of their home games here.
As far as capacity is concerned the HP Pavilion is on par with the other arenas in the country. For basketball games this venue can hold up to 18,500 people, for hockey 17,500, and for concerts and other shows up to 20,000.
Over the years there have been many memorable moments and events that took place inside the HP Pavilion. They include the NHL All Star Game in 1997, WWF Royal Rumble in 1998, and many more. This arena has also been the set for several movies and television shows.
